Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVE IN UGANDA (TUKWANILIZA MU UGANDA)
A company representative with Jeb Holiday Safaris tag will wait for you at Entebbe International Airport to drive you to the hotel. This day will be planned better depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport.

DAY 2: DRIVE TO NAKASONGOLA RHINO SANCTUARY – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After early breakfast, will be driven to Nakasongola District where Zziwa Rhino sanctuary is located via Kampala-Bombo Road. Rhino tracking is in the afternoon after a short nature walk and lunch. Visitors to the sanctuary are allowed to track the rhinos and see them up close. You can approach the Rhinos on foot. The animals are not that dangerous if you follow instructions. The White Rhinos (the ones at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary) are gentle giants – approaching them on foot poses no danger to you. You will have the guidance and company of a sanctuary ranger who is knowledgeable about the behavior of the rhinos.
Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary gives you a rare opportunity to see the Rhinos not from a vehicle but from up close and on foot, you have some great and unusual photo opportunities here as you encounter the White Rhinos of Zziwa. After tracking we will continue to Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON LAUNCH CRUISE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FALLS & HIKE TO THE TOP OF THE FALLS
On this day, there is a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Later on in the day after lunch, embark on a launch cruise to the base of the falls. This 3 hour cruise from Paraa is a rewarding trip that will expose you to many various wildlife species like hippos, crocodiles, elephants (though quite occasional along this side) and a variety of the bird life that may include the African fish eagles and continue hike to the top of falls. You will then return to the lodge for wonderful dinner and peaceful overnight at the safari lodge

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
After early morning breakfast, you transfer to Kibale Forest National park with lunch en-route in Fort Portal Town. The journey will take you through Fort Portal town as you proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. MEAL PLAN: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner

DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AT KIBALE AND SWAMP WALK
After early morning breakfast, our Guide will transfer you to Kibale Forest National park head offices with your packed lunch for briefing as you go for Chimpanzee trekking and later go for a swamp walk. Dinner and overnight at the previous lodge.

DAY 6: DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, check out and begin our journey of about 6 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is in the western part of Uganda. There shall be a stopover for photographs in tea plantations along the way. Upon reaching the lodge will check in and immediately have a late lunch. If you have relaxed enough by evening shall a short game drive.

DAY 7: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE
After early breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive to the north of the park where the Savannah grasslands are with the rare leopard, elephants, Uganda Kobs, genets, lions, giant forest hogs, bushbucks, spotted hyenas, and many more. In the afternoon take a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which flows between Lake Edward and Lake George. Kazinga Channel is home to one of the greatest concentration of hippo in Africa and herds of elephant, buffalo, and other animals come to drink at the water’s edge. The channel is a magnet for water birds, with great flocks of pelicans and others birds on the shore, and a great spot to see African fish eagle. Dinner and overnight at still same lodge.

DAY 8: ISHASHA FOR TREES CLIMBING LIONS AND LATER DRIVE TO BWINDI – KISORO
After morning breakfast, check out and drive to Ishasha in hunt for tree climbing lions mostly. Later have lunch and your safari continues to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Travelling via Ishasha – subject to road conditions – you can observe the unusual behavior exhibited by the tree-climbing lions. This is a journey of about 4 hours’ drive through the rapidly changing landscape to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

DAY 9: GORILLA TREKKING
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and to join others for a gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your gorilla trek. Once this is done, you will set off for gorilla tracking. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest requires stamina and can often take most of the day depending on the movements of the gorillas in search of food. On your trek, you are likely to spot other primates, birds, and rare tree species.
After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with gorillas observing them and taking photos before trekking back to the park headquarter. This is indeed an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered creatures. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE DAY
After the morning breakfast, transfer to Entebbe for your departure with en route lunch. In Mbarara city.

PLEASE NOTE
In case the mentioned lodges are not available during the requested period, we will do our best to book a lodge in the same class for you (of course we will only do this after consulting you). It is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla and chimpanzee permits so we will buy them only after your booking and down payment. Permits also depend on availability.
